The Valencian Damià Tormo completes a new fund of 70 million for investment in ‘biotech’.

The Valencian Damià Tormo continues to hunt for funding for biotech projects developed nationally and internationally and the balance of trust remains on his side. Together with its partner Javier García, it has completed a new fund of more than 70 million through Columbus Ventures, a venture capital management company that promoted a first fund of 45 million in 2017.

The first closing of the new fund was in March and today it is already covered. “My partner Javier García and I saw that if we continued to undertake one company after another, our time would go on seeking financing for each one, but if we had the money in front of us, it was only necessary to do that work once and dedicate that time to the companies,” says the co-founder of Bioncotech and Artax Biopharma.
