Serial entrepreneur Iñaki Berenguer will chair the Valencian company iPronics. This was stated this Tuesday in the Official Gazette of the Commercial Registry, where the constitution of the company iPronics Programmable Photonics, co-founded by the Professor of Photonics and Communications José Capmany, was published. The spin-off from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, created to develop programmable photonics chips, has been set up with 40,000 euros in capital to start up the research project to market the product.
According to the company’s explanation, Berenguer’s position will not be executive but institutional, since the weight of the company’s management falls on its general director, Eladio Crego. The telecommunications engineer, who has been promoting his companies from New York for years, studied at the UPV and maintains his links with the university, where he also has the Valencian headquarters of Cover Wallet, one of his latest projects.
