Jose Francisco Monserrat, researcher at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, has been selected by the World Bank as an expert to prepare its report on the deployment of 5G technology in developing countries. The UPV professor will work with a team made up of ten other experts from the United States and three from South Korea.
Monserrat has participated throughout this week in the headquarters of the World Bank, in Washington, in the first meeting of the team that during the next three months will elaborate the study. In it, they will analyze the potential, challenges and opportunities of the implementation of this technology in four areas: energy, intelligent cities, agriculture and transport.
