Barbara IoT, the startup that has created a cyber-insurance operating system for the Internet of Things, has closed a 500,000 euro investment round led by Global Omniuma through its corporate venturing vehicleGoHub Ventures, to which the institutional funds Bizkaia Seed Capital, from the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, and Basque Fondo, from the Government of the Basque Country, have also contributed.
At four years old, and founded by the same team that in 2013 created Blackphone, the world’s first cyber-secure Android phone, Barbara IoT has established itself as one of the most promising startups in the area of Internet of Things and Cybersecurity. With its secure operating system Barbara OS, it protects Internet-connected devices in industrial plants from cyber attacks, thus helping the secure digitisation of the industry.
