Challenges of the Valencian production model: more innovation and diversification

The Valencian production model faces two main problems whose solution must be tackled with higher levels of innovation in all productive activities, without exception, and diversification towards companies with a high technological content.

Increasing the number of companies and their average size are other challenges of the productive system of the Region, which presents a low level of added value generated by companies located in the territory regardless of the activity sector to which they belong, which determines a per capita income and average salaries that are also low, and an insufficient productive capacity to absorb the available active population.
