The Deputy Mayor of Valencia, Sandra Gómez, the head of the Innovative Development area, Pilar Bernabé, and the Councillor for Tourism, Emiliano García, together with the Councillor for Innovation, Carolina Pascual, the President of the Provincial Council of Valencia, Toni Gaspar, and representatives of the Webit Foundation, presented the Webit Valencia 2020 festival today at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), to be held from 17 to 20 June in La Marina de València, which will host the next European digital innovation festival, one of the most important international technological events in the sector, which will address issues such as Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, cyber security, the future of food, mobility and health.
Sandra Gómez has considered “a great success that Valencia has managed to attract this festival” that will bring together 1500 technology companies and more than 15,000 people from 120 countries. For the Deputy Mayor, the celebration of Webit Valencia 2020 “is a great opportunity for the city, as it will position Valencia on the international map of talent, innovation and knowledge”. Some of the main international companies and institutions such as the European Commission, IBM, Google, Telefónica, Amazon, Samsung, Microsoft and Airbus will be taking part in the event.
